COULD DEEP FAKES COME FOR OUR MONEY?

THE SOLUTION

Carnegie wanted to continue using the ‘blackboard’ style of Deep Fakes 1, so that the two animations would sit side by side. We developed a storyboard, discussed the design, the colour palette and how some of these quite complex levels of fakery produced by artificial intelligence could be explained. For the design, we opted for a neon 1980s style against a dark background. We selected a music track with a hint of 80s and electronica.

FILM

Sketch was commissioned by Carnegie Endowment for International Peace to produce an animation about the risk posed by Synthetic Media, entitled ‘Could Deep Fakes come for our money?’ This animation explores the risk of deep fakes, cloning, fake media of all types which are all potentially harmful to the financial industry. It accompanies a detailed paper published by Carnegie, which you can read here.
