OUR APPROACH
We filmed over two days in Kinshasa, filming principally with the founder of Ubiz, Patricia. We need to tell her story - how she created Ubiz Cabs and how mobile technology provided the launchpad to be be able to start this kind of business in the DRC, where local transport can be a real challenge for the population.
THE PROJECT
Sketch was commissioned by Helios Towers to make a short documentary about Ubiz, an innovative new on demand taxi business based in Kinshasa DRC. Helios Towers is a leading independent telco tower company operating in several countries across Africa. The film shows how improving mobile technology leads to innovation, increased opportunities and prosperity.
