How we work

Introduction
We are a creative agency, led by ideas that produce high quality films that inspire and inform. We take a brief from inception to delivery, ensuring that the client has the best experience and meets all its objectives. We are focused on developing long term relationships with our clients over many years.

Brief & Proposal
After receiving your brief, which can be written or verbal, we draft a proposal with a framework for the budget, schedule and scope of the project. This can be amended as our conversation progresses. We keep working together until we have sign off and start the planning of production.

Pre-production
After the official kick off meeting, we develop in further detail the initial creative ideas. We produce a storyboard and script which are then reviewed and amended until sign off. Every step of the process allows the client to give feedback.

Planning and Logistics
Filming internationally requires detailed planning and research. We work with local producers and fixers in order to map out the schedule and what will be required. We advise on locations, scheduling and crew required. If filming in the UK, we will draw up a schedule based on key interviewees availability. We will hire a studio if required and go on location recces and start the casting process (if required).

Production
Filming days are normally spread out over several weeks or months depending on the project. We always try to ensure that we get the most out of each day. Interviews will be normally conducted off camera in a studio, office, home or relevant location. We will craft the interview questions to ensure that we obtain answers that tell the full story. We also allow lots of time for filming b-roll and documenting the action. It’s important that we have as many options as possible to tell the story visually as well as through the audio.

Editing, Sound Mix, Grade, Motion Graphics
Immediately after filming we log all the footage and give you an update on what we have and if any further filming is required. We start working on an assembly edit - and may provide the client with a paper edit and transcripts. A first cut is produced and client feedback is taken onboard. Motion graphics, animation or infographics are added as required. As we work towards the final version of the film, we select the music track, finalise the audio mix and grade (colouring of the image) and the client’s branding requirements. We will also repurpose the edited film for different social channels and different uses e.g. conference screening versus a shorter online version. We work until the client signs off and we deliver the films, retaining the project for any future changes.
