Sketch Films was commissioned by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport to produce a film about the very successful Dormant Asset Scheme. The film helps show and explain how the scheme allocates ‘lost’ money to charities around the UK so that it can be used to transform lives.
The film has an interview with Simon Kenyon MD of Consumer Banking at Lloyds Banking Group. He explains the characteristics of the scheme. We are then introduced to Connor, a young man from South Wales, who is a beneficiary of one of the charities.
Connor was cared for by several different foster families when he was very young. As a young man he had problems forming relationships and was quite violent. Eventually through LLamau, he found a placement as an apprentice youth worker at the youth centre in Cwbran. Now he loves his job and can’t wait to get out of bed every day.
